  Camping is one of the most popular recreational activities on Vancouver Island and with more than 85 campgrounds and parks it is easy to plan your trip as you tour the island. Campers can pitch tents in private campsites also there are Recreation Campsites located on Crown land. Most campgrounds are located between Victoria and Campbell River, a few on the west coast and on the north island, between Campbell River and Port Hardy.
