The Sooke Fine Arts Show provides the opportunity for the finest artists from Vancouver Island and BC’s coastal islands to showcase and sell their work. Celebrating it’s 33rd anniversary in 2019, it is Vancouver Island’s longest-running juried fine art show, and the region’s premier summer arts event.
The 11-day show and sale draws 9,000+ art lovers from Canada, the US and abroad to the SEAPARC Leisure Complex in Sooke, BC. More than 380 works of original island art are on display in a stunning, 17,000-square-foot gallery. Founded in the spring of 2016 and based in Chemainus, BC, Rainforest Arts operates under the umbrella of the Chemainus Valley Cultural Arts Society (CVCAS). Rainforest Arts is dedicated to celebrating Island artists through our retail gallery, website and by promoting all arts related events in the Cowichan Valley We are conveniently located in the heart of downtown Chemainus, just inside the Coastal Community Building on the south side of Waterwheel Parking Lot. Participation in Rainforest Arts is open to artists on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. All artwork undergoes a jurying process and participants must become a member of the CVCAS.
